WHAT’s NEW & IMPORTANT
Upcoming UBA Webinar!!
EVENT DAY and TIME: Tuesday, June 12, 2012 (11a.m. PST)
TITLE: Health FSAs: What Do You Need To Know?
Most employers sponsor a health flexible spending account. Health FSAs allow employees to pay their uninsured medical expenses on a pre-tax basis. Sponsoring employers also escape FICA taxation on amounts contributed to these accounts. Unfortunately, these tax benefits come at a price – in terms of a compliance burden.
In this webinar, we’ll look at how the various legal constraints apply to health FSAs, including the many mandates added by the 2010 Affordable Care Act. We’ll also see what changes might be in store for these programs. These include a $2,500 annual cap on employee contributions, a pronounced shift to debit and other “stored-value” cards, and even calls to restore the ability to obtain reimbursement of over-the-counter drugs without first obtaining a prescription.
If you are interested in attending, please contact CCB as soon as possible to reserve your spot.
